The Pacific Tsunami Museum is proud to share Hawai'i Tsunami Education Curriculum: Kai E‘e, a place-based and culturally relevant education program for Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.

The Program includes:

  • hands-on, project-based lessons on tsunamis and climate change for students in grades 4, 6, 8 and 9
  • an online course for teachers focused on the science of tsunamis
  • interactive multimedia activities and visualizations
  • tsunami survivor stories, archival photographs, and tsunami legends
  • informal consultation to help schools enhance their existing tsunami evacuation preparedness plans and procedures
  • a visually rich Pacific Tsunami Museum booklet
